Westbound Analytics ("we", "us") operates westboundanalytics.com and provides analytical testing services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account and request details you give us: name, company, email address, phone number, shipping details, and the information you enter about your samples (product name, compound, lot number, labeled amount, supplier, and any files you attach).
Testing records we create: sample identifiers, chain-of-custody entries, analytical results, reviewer notes, and the certificates we issue.
Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the time of each visit, gathered through server logs and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not sell this information.
How we use it
To review, approve, and fulfil testing requests; to communicate with you about your request through email and the secure message thread on your account; to issue and verify certificates of analysis; to maintain laboratory records; to protect the site against abuse; and to comply with law.
Certificates and public results
A certificate of analysis carries a verification code. Anyone holding that code can confirm the certificate is authentic and current. Your name or company appears on a public verification page only if you or the laboratory chooses to publish it; private certificates show authenticity without results. Certificates you ask us to list publicly are visible to anyone.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, email delivery, file storage), each bound to use it solely on our behalf; with an outside laboratory when part of your testing is performed there, limited to what that testing requires; and when required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Retention
Testing records and certificates are retained as laboratory records for as long as the laboratory operates, because a certificate must remain verifiable after it is issued. Account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. You may ask us to close your account at any time.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, connections are encrypted, staff access is role-based and logged, and internal files are never publicly reachable. No system is perfectly secure; contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your choices
You can review and update your account details in the client portal. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account by emailing info@westboundanalytics.com. Verification lookups are logged to detect abuse; they are not linked to a customer account.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adult researchers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be announced on the site.
